Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Repair Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. In this role, you will independently resolve complex customer inquiries and issues to meet and exceed customer service levels. You will design and approve complex structural repairs, ensuring compliance with certified type design and airworthiness (FAA/EASA) requirements, while minimizing aircraft downtime.
This position works primarily onsite and may occasionally require weekend or holiday support as needed.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do:
- Independently design and approve complex repairs and provide technical solutions to minimize aircraft downtime on all Collins Aerostructures commercial nacelle hardware that comply with certified type design and airworthiness (FAA/EASA) requirements.
- Manage multiple complex customer inquiries (repairs) and lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer requests efficiently and effectively.
- Take ownership of situations and proactively drive resolution of customer inquiries to ensure team and program goals are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, serving as a technical expert within the organization.
- Lead initiatives and make recommendations to management to improve turnaround times, enhance customer experience, and strengthen communication and documentation to improve service levels, in collaboration with other functional groups.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in development of aircraft metallic and/or composite repairs.
- Knowledge in technical understanding of maintenance, repair, overhaul, and regulatory requirements in the commercial aircraft industry.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience supporting MRB, MRO, or field repair environments.
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical issues and deliver timely customer-focused solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.
- Proficiency with standard engineering tools and software such as MS Office, CATIA V and FiberSim skills.
- Detailed understanding of nacelle systems.
- Familiarity with specialty manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
