Job Description
As a Senior Scrum Master supporting a high-visibility program with a Randstad client in Washington, DC, you will lead Agile teams in the successful delivery of large-scale, complex initiatives involving cross-functional departments and external vendors. This role requires deep expertise in Scrum and Agile frameworks, strong facilitation and coaching skills, and a proven ability to guide teams through the full project lifecycle from planning through implementation. You will serve as a servant leader and coach, enabling collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach teams on Agile principles and Scrum best practices to foster a high-performance culture
- Shield teams from external disruptions and resolve conflicts to maintain focus and flow
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure backlog refinement and prioritization
- Monitor and communicate team progress, using metrics such as velocity and burndown charts
- Manage Jira boards, tasks, user stories, dashboards, and reports to support sprint execution
- Identify and eliminate roadblocks to keep teams on schedule and aligned with business goals
- Promote Agile maturity and continuous improvement across teams and the organization
- Coordinate across multiple departments and external vendors to support integrated delivery
- Support the implementation of SAFe and DevOps practices, including pipelines and test planning
