Title: Financial Project Manager (IBM TM1 and Oracle)
Location: Waukegan, IL

Develop, execute and manage IT projects within the defined scope.
Expedited, managed and coordinated a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.
Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with the department, divisional management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to the original plan and budget.
Develops and executes a work pla,n obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.
Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from the sponsor and stakeholders.
Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to the Project Team, Department and Division management.
Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
Supervises and motivates a cross-functional project team of business analysts, developers, and validation analysts.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Manages Projects at the department or division level.
Makes decisions that impact projects or Departments.
Influences or has final decision authority for the project level, budget and activities.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex financial planning projects across various industries.
This role requires a deep understanding of financial planning systems, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement strategies that drive business success.
Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for financial planning initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Oversee the implementation of financial planning systems and tools, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.
Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or roadblocks.
Analyze project performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices and innovative solutions within the team.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor and guide junior project managers, providing support and development opportunities.

- Act as a liaison between business partners (financial modeling) and technology teams
- Lead the consolidation of financial planning systems within Abbott's BTS (Business Technology Solutions)
- Manage full project lifecycle: planning, execution, delivery
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, status updates, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior PMs and promote continuous improvement
Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline.
At least 6 yrs. experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment, with a minimum of 3 years experience managing projects.
