Description
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in a Contract to permanent position. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage cloud architecture, implement containerization strategies, and oversee monitoring and response systems. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, you will work on diverse projects, collaborating with government agencies and companies in industries such as biohealth, transportation, and retail.
Responsibilities:
Design and manage cloud-based architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
Develop and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions using Kubernetes and related tools.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub, Bitbucket Pipelines, Octopus, and Jenkins.
Utilize Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
Collaborate with clients to provide DevOps services and support across various industries, including biohealth and transportation.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
Stay current with emerging DevOps tools and practices, continuously improving processes and workflows.
Work on projects involving cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and clients.
Maintain strong client relationships by delivering timely and effective IT solutions.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related field.
Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Strong skills in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
Expertise in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies as required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
