The Project Manager (IT & Business Integration) leads strategic, cross-functional projects that drive operational improvement and enable business success through technology. This individual will oversee multiple projects across corporate functions, manufacturing facilities, and IT while ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
As the first dedicated project manager, this role will establish the foundation for structured project leadership within the organization. The Project Manager will bring focus, consistency, and accountability to project execution while adapting methods to fit a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. The role will also leverage emerging technologies, including AI, where appropriate to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and communication across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple concurrent projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring clear scope, milestones, and success criteria.
Partner with IT, Finance, HR, Compliance, Operations, and other business units to manage technology-enabled business projects.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and communication frameworks that fit the culture and scale.
Coordinate project resources, manage risks and dependencies, and proactively resolve issues.
Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans.
Provide regular project reporting and status updates for IT leadership, project sponsors, and the IT Alignment Committee.
Support project intake, prioritization, and governance processes, helping refine how initiatives are reviewed and approved.
Introduce and maintain lightweight project management tools, documentation, and templates to promote consistency and visibility.
Apply AI-enabled tools and insights to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and augment human skill and judgment.
Balance structure with flexibility by tailoring approaches to each project s scope, maturity, and team readiness.
Begin developing scalable practices and frameworks that may support a future Project Management Office (PMO).
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
5 8 years of experience managing cross-functional projects, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proven success leading IT-enabled or process improvement projects across corporate and operational teams.
Skilled at influencing without authority and leading through collaboration and credibility.
Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to operate in organizations without formal project management structures.
Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365).
Awareness of how AI and automation tools can enhance productivity and collaboration preferred.
PMP or related certification not required; practical project leadership experience preferred.
Exposure to change management or business readiness efforts is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a pragmatic, results-driven project leader who thrives on turning loosely defined ideas into well-executed initiatives. You understand how to build structure where little exists, balance process with practicality, and earn influence through partnership. You see technology, including AI, as an enabler not a replacement for human skill, and you use it thoughtfully to improve how teams plan, communicate, and deliver. You re motivated by the opportunity to shape how projects are managed and help the organization mature in its approach to execution and alignment.
