Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Draftsperson to join our team of professionals in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork, be proficient in AutoCAD, and understand the materials and hardware used in high-end commercial projects.
You will work closely with our project managers and engineering team to produce precise, build-ready shop drawings that align with client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings for commercial cabinets and architectural millwork projects.
- Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and client requirements into buildable shop drawings.
- Research and verify specifications for hardware, materials, and plumbing components.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and accurate.
- Maintain organized and detailed drawing files according to company standards.
- Assist in reviewing submittals and revising drawings as needed to reflect field or design changes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD experience (required).
- At least 2 years of millwork drafting experience (required).
- Strong understanding of commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork construction methods.
- Familiarity with materials, hardware, and finishing details used in millwork production.
- Ability to research and source technical product data and specifications.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must be on-site - this is not a remote position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Woodwork Institute (WI) standards.
- Experience with Cabinet Vision software.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift
- Overtime as required
