Performance QA Test Engineer - Job Description - Onsite in Mesa, Arizona
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design detailed, comprehensive test cases and procedures.
- Perform functional, regression, system integration, end-to-end, UI, API, volume, and performance testing for new and existing applications.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and update scripts as needed.
- Document test cases, defects, and results clearly in tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Participate in design reviews, Agile Scrum ceremonies, and user meetings.
- Ensure all releases meet or exceed defined quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Haves
- 5-7 years of experience in software QA for web-based applications.
- 5+ years writing detailed test cases and plans.
- 5+ years using QA tools such as Azure DevOps/TFS, Selenium WebDriver (C#), and SQL.
- 3+ years of hands-on performance testing experience for UI and APIs using JMeter.
- Strong understanding of SQL or PL/SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proven experience in Agile Scrum environments, including iterative development and release management.
- Familiarity with version control and defect tracking systems.
- Ability to analyze defect metrics and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Preferred/Bonus Experience
- Experience with other performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter, k6, Locust, or NeoLoad.
- Familiarity with browser performance tools like Lighthouse or WebPageTest.
- Experience with API testing and automation frameworks beyond Selenium.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics during performance testing.
