Job Details

Step into a high-impact role as a Computer Vision Model Engineer with deep expertise in machine learning! You'll research, design, and develop high-performing CV models, taking the lead on exploring new architectures and experimenting with state-of-the-art techniques. From detection and segmentation to classification and open-world learning, you'll be building models that push the boundaries of what's possible.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, prototype, and develop advanced computer vision models, including YOLO, OWL, transformers, and foundation models.
  • Design and conduct experiments for model benchmarking, hyperparameter tuning, and architecture optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers and pipeline engineers to build clean training datasets and scalable training pipelines.
  • Push the limits of model performance for real-time inference, large-scale datasets, and novel CV tasks.
  • Stay abreast of the latest CV and ML research and incorporate relevant advancements into model design.
  • Publish internal research reports and contribute to technical decision-making for model architecture and experimentation strategy.
  • Work within MLOps workflows to package and version models for deployment.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in developing deep learning models with PyTorch (or TensorFlow).
  • Deep understanding of core CV algorithms and techniques: object detection, image classification, semantic/instance segmentation, and tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with YOLO and OWL-style models.
  • Solid background in hyperparameter tuning, loss function design, data augmentation, and evaluation metrics.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
  • Experience working with AWS SageMaker or other cloud-based ML platforms.
  • Ability to read and implement academic papers and adapt research to practical use cases.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field. PhD or published research is a strong plus.
Key Skills:
  • YOLO, OWL.
  • Python, PyTorch.
  • Computer Vision Model Design.
  • Hyperparameter Tuning.
  • AWS SageMaker.
  • Ubuntu/Linux.
  • MLOps Integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with JAX/FLAX and efficient transformer architectures.
  • Experience optimizing models for deployment (e.g., quantization, distillation).
  • Experience with vision-language models.
  • Experience with synthetic data generation or self-supervised learning.
  • Contributions to open-source libraries or CV benchmarks.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Benefits:
  • 401(k).
  • Dental Insurance.
  • Health insurance.
  • Vision insurance.
  • We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity, equality, inclusion, and respect for people.
  • The salary will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, location, relevant education, qualifications, experience, technical skills, and business needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
