Escrow Assistant/Administrator

AVA Consulting is seeking an Escrow Assistant

Job Description:

• Responsible for providing clerical support during the opening and closing of escrow accounts. Client Escrow Administrators maintain escrow accounts by opening an account using a secure software system, depositing the funds, and maintaining reports documenting all open escrow accounts.
• Administrators correspond with closing party to implement information into settlement statements and gather required documents for closing. Administrators post close files to send to policy department for policy issuance.
• Closing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor inbound and outbound wires through our corporate wire system, WMA. Claim wires to be deposited into escrow
• Provide notification of receipt of funds and the release as directed in the escrow agreement
• Review reports to examine dormant funds and release those funds either to the parties involved or to be escheated to the state
• Print checks, invoice escrow fees, and send to Accounts Receivable
• Review recordables and submit for recordation ensuring the return of documents to the appropriate party
• Post close files and send documents to policy department for policy issuance
• Verify wire instructions and disburse funds via check or wire
• Maintaining report of earned escrow fees

Requirement:

• 1 - 3 years experience required.
