Job Details

Daily Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide database administration and support for Oracle Database 11g and 12c environments.
  • Perform all core database management and administration activities, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Oracle database physical structure, overall architecture, and performance analysis.
  • Conduct database planning, scaling, and capacity planning to support enterprise growth.
  • Design databases and data models; manage index creation, database optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Support and participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain:
    • Oracle Data Guard
    • Oracle Enterprise Manager
    • Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
    • Oracle ACFS
    • Oracle GoldenGate
  • Perform and configure RMAN backup and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to support application performance and data integrity.
  • Follow and support ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA operational models.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.

Required Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)

  1. Bachelor s Degree in a technical or business-related field
  2. 7+ years of experience in a Development or Service Administration role
  3. 5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
  4. Hands-on experience performing and configuring RMAN backup and recovery
  5. Experience working closely with development teams (5+ years)
  6. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Installations, and Oracle RAC
  7. Exposure to ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA operational models
  8. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
