This industry leader is going through a complete redesign of their systems and is expanding their team with the addition of an Enterprise Data Architect to support the data needs of the overall system redesign effort. You will work with the data from an enterprise perspective in an environment that has data in multiple places, countries and varied systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determine how data is integrated throughout the environment.
  • Understand the Business capability of data.
  • Redesign the data environment including determining where the data resides and where it goes.
  • Analyze and Architect data security and how data is classified.
  • Determine if the data is in the is in the correct systems.
  • Design the physical data architecture and enterprise data architecture.
  • Implement, promote and enforce best in class data architecture principles.
  • Ensure architecture maintains industry best practices for data integrity, data security, data classification, data compliance and data organization.

BACKGROUND

  • Experience as an Enterprise Data Architect with demonstrated experience designing and implementing data integration processes.
  • Experience leading data architecture projects from conception to implementation.
  • Proven experience architecting data solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid experience creating and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • Experience with entity-relationship diagrams, normalization techniques, and data modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with ETL and ELT tools and processes.
  • Experience building Operational Data Stores, receiving and distributing data in real-time using event driven architectures, APIs, streaming, etc.
  • Understanding of industry best practices in data governance principles, policies, and best practices
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of manufacturing industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in data management and architecture.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., E/RStudio, Erwin, IBM Data Architect).
  • Expertise working with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in the design and deployment of an ERP solution in the Manufacturing or Finance space.
