Overview
The Visual Communications Specialist, Senior is a critical member of the Office of Program Support (OPS) team, responsible for creating, managing, and delivering high-quality visual communication products that effectively convey the objectives and initiatives of OPS. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and strategic insight to support the communication needs of government and law enforcement agencies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in graphic design, public relations, and communications strategies, particularly in government or law enforcement environments.
This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Pay Range
USD $125,000.00 - USD $156,274.00 /Yr.

Responsibilities
- Visual Design and Development:
- Design and produce educational and promotional materials including brochures, handouts, presentations, and other visual assets for OPS events and initiatives.
- Develop visually compelling graphics, infographics, and data visualizations to simplify and communicate complex data sets and program objectives effectively.
- Create high-impact visual content that aligns with OPS branding and enhances public relations efforts.
- Brand and Strategic Communications Support:
- Collaborate with OPS leadership and communication teams to conceptualize and execute visual strategies that align with organizational branding and strategic goals.
- Manage and maintain the OPS visual identity to ensure consistency across all communication platforms and products.
- Provide expert design recommendations and conduct briefings to OPS management on visual communication strategies and deliverables.
- Project and Content Management:
- Oversee the production schedule for visual communication projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for visual communications, providing guidance and insights to internal teams.
- Contribute to the development of electronic communications platforms, including portals and SharePoint sites, to support OPS outreach and engagement efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, or marketing, with a strong preference for experience supporting government agencies.
- Demonstrated expertise in public relations and communications strategy for large government or law enforcement organizations.
- Proven ability to design and implement a wide range of visual communication products, including print, digital, and electronic media.
- Extensive experience with graphic design tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of branding principles and experience maintaining a cohesive visual identity across diverse platforms.
- Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and visually impactful designs.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work that aligns with mission objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience with user interface (UI) design for electronic communication platforms.
- Familiarity with federal government or law enforcement organizational structures and communication protocols.
