Role: Release Engineer
Location: Remote

- Team: Corporate.
- This role supports a pillar made up of 5 squads.
- Ensure a successful delivery, which may include: development and management of overall project plan, schedule, status reporting, escalations, testing, user approval, final corrections, and methodology compliance.
- Manage relationship with product team and engineering team, which may include the project requesters. Provide senior management level status reports.
Typical Day in role:
- Coordinate the plans and activities of the organization with senior leaders inside and outside IT.
- Apply technical and process expertise to address challenging technical and business issues
- Drive enterprise-wide Agile adoption strategy across programs and portfolios.
- Provide coaching and materials to increase quality, velocity, and efficiency of software engineering across Centene.
- Proactively eliminate barriers, coach team members on best practices, and facilitate scrum ceremonies.
- Lead software development programs and portfolios with project initiation, organization, goal, and change management aspects of Agile
- Log, track, and resolve project, business or release related issues. Coordinate multiple project efforts.
- Performance Indicators: Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs). Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings, Facilitate PI planning events

Education/Certification
- Required: Bachelors degree.
Preferred certs: Certified Release Train Engineer (RTE), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar certification preferred.
Years of experience required: 10+ years of combined software engineering and Agile coaching experience. SAFe experience highly preferred. Certified Release Train Engineer (RTE), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar certification preferred.
