Banking/Financial Data Modeler (with Retail banking experience), 12+ years of experience

Data modeler is responsible for designing and implementing data models that define the structure, organization, and relationship within the data systems. Essential skills required:

Banking, Financial industry knowledge and expertise

Data Modeling and expertise

Consumer and Investment Banking data modeling

Banking ontologies and taxonomies

Mapping of technical data models to ontologies and come up with business domain data models for creating banking data products.

Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to details for formulating effective data models

Relevant experience in designing and implementing data models and analytical solutions using dimensional and relational models

Design and implement end-to-end data models starting from raw data to the semantic layer that makes our data more accessible and understandable for different persona ranging from finance users, data analysts and automation

Understanding business processes and ability to align data models with organization goals. Strong analytical skills to assess data requirements and translate them into effective data models

Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin, Hackolade and familiarity with various RDBMS and NoSQL databases

Data modeling experience in

Deposits CD, Savings, Checking

Credit Cards rewards cards, hotel, travel, business, and cobranded cards

Debit Debit platform

Payment processing Merchant, Ecommerce, ACH, business banking

Wealth Management

Investment

Work on some of the most complex and highly visible data problems in finance at the intersection of finance and technology

Ability to partner, prioritize, lead, negotiate, drive execution and influence

Laison between SMEs, Data Architects, Data Modelers to understand individual data domains and ensure acceptance from all parties

Engage and partner with Product owners, business users (technical and on-technical), data providers, technology teams, across large financial function to design and deliver data products

Experienced in end-to-end SDLC
