Job Details

Title: Business Analyst

Client: State of NY

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

Duration: 30 Months

Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Description:

  • Review business and functional requirements, as well as related Use Cases related to the OVS Claims Management System.

  • Create and maintain documentation in Testing Tools such as HP ALM; coordinate, create and update Knowledge Base and Application documentation.

  • Develop or maintain detailed test plans/test cases/test scripts from documented system requirements.

  • Execute functional and system tests including regression tests using manual and automated testing tools and record results using testing tools. Use tools such as HP ALM/Quality Center.

  • Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, perform retesting as required.

  • Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g. missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.

  • Lead the communication and reporting of testing results to BA Management and/or vendor.

Requirements:

  • 84+ Months: Candidate can provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

  • 84 months experience eliciting business requirements from business customers or system artifacts and maintaining such requirements.

  • 84 Months experience developing business requirements and process documentation such as use cases, process flows, screen mock-ups, and data dictionaries.

  • 84 months of QA experience including the following:

  • Create Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test scripts

  • Execute functional and system tests including regression tests using manual testing tools and record results using HP ALM/Quality Center (or equivalent)

  • Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g. missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process.

  • Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases

  • 84 months identifying and documenting application defects, tracking defects to resolution, and performing retesting as required.
