*must have worked with PHP in the last 2-3 years

*this is a backend heavy role so having front end experience is needed but they will be mainly working in backend with PHP/Laravel/Symfony

*LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY IN AUSTIN TEXAS ALREADY or second preferred is already in Texas or has a reason to relocate to Texas (i.e. had daughter going to UT and will relocate asap) - client is hesitant to interview any non local people or people who do not have real reason to move to Austin, TX

*if person comes from Java background and has worked with PHP in the last few years this is ok too. But I do not want to see just java profiles. They must have worked with PHP for min 2 years in recent professional setting (not personal projects) and if they have worked with other OOP languages prior to this its fine too.

*Up to $130k total but will be flexible for the right person if needed.

*Must be ok with 3 days onsite in Austin, TX (tues-thus)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework, ensuring code quality, security, and performance.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, designers, and product managers to create seamless and engaging user experiences, with a strong emphasis on front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Ensure optimized compatibility across major browsers including Safari and Chrome, addressing cross-browser performance issues effectively.

Design, implement, and maintain robust database schemas using MySQL or equivalent systems, optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity and security.

Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and architecture to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing enhancements and support post-launch.

Utilize version control systems like Git for source code management, enabling smooth collaboration and continuous integration processes.

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues proactively, applying strong problem-solving skills to maintain system reliability and client satisfaction.

Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and continuous learning environment to elevate overall team performance.

Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with strategic goals.
