Job Description:
- Product Management is responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet our customer needs over the product-market lifecycle. This role collaborates with a wide range of people to identify and define customer needs, understand the Solution Context, and develops the Program Vision, Roadmap, and Features required to meet these needs including assurance that business needs cascades down to the team level. A Product Manager owns the feature product backlog and serves as the ultimate product authority approving PI/TI and Iteration objectives.
General Description:
- Owner of creating, managing and prioritizing product features, using a backlog, including experience in serving as the ultimate authority; agrees upon DoD and supports the flow of work at the Program layer
- Generates business value work with the Portfolio layer including experience in working with the PO to assure that the work cascades down to the team level including driving and approving PI/TI Iteration/Sprint objectives
- Key owner and driver of strategic themes and roadmap for the Product lifecycle including ability to guide the product through the lifecycle states including creating and management of rolling wave plans
- Responsible for ensuring that Value Streams are creating feasible and sustainable products and solutions
- Owns outlining and prioritizing enabler work including ensuring work is understood and execution coincides with business value work
- If part of an ART, is an active participant and skilled in ART ceremonies and associated responsibilities
- Key participant in supporting and reviewing system demos to ensure demonstrated delivered work aligns with targeted business value deliverables and scope
- Ensures Program risks are identified and managed
- Identifies, tracks and manages appropriate feature metrics including tracking feature progress and areas for improvement
- Responsible in identifying customers and stakeholders including advanced skills with client/stakeholder management both internal and external. This includes representing their business value needs and validation of proposed solutions and creating a product vision
- Works with Epic Owners to develop a Lean Business Case for Epics, or if an Epic Owner, will develop and manage the Lean Business Case
- Provides oversight and management of the product financials including assurance to budgets and tracking
- Owns development of customer centric ROI models and associated features that provide optimal ROI
- Supports new and existing product processes including GS&P, Architecture, Legal, Compliance and Vendors
- Responsible for managing vendor relationships including skills in ensuring targeted vendor deliverables meet our product needs including timely alignment
- Drives product innovation
- Knowledgeable and supportive regarding creation and execution of product SOWs
- Participant and reviewer of RFPs
- Conducts customer satisfaction surveys/analysis, validates customer response, provides fast feedback, prioritizes defect resolution and enhancements
- Works effectively with all levels and roles including fully understanding R&Rs of the PO, team, stakeholders and other teams
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- SAFe Agile experience
- Proficient in use of Agile tools (Jira preferred)
- Retail Store Experience
- Workforce Management (WFM) experience
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Tool experience: Kronos and Work Jam
- Experience supporting integration of multiple systems
- Embracing of Agile principles and a Lean Agile perspective
