Summary:
Bears responsibility for BSLM and USLM support in compliance with AF managerial and procedural requirements for IT acquisition and accounts for IT hardware and software assets. Manages all aspects of inventory determination, coordination and control (e.g., initial inventory assessment, marking, tagging, bar-coding, associated tracking and management). Ensures complete accuracy, integrity and reliability of asset database. Actively maintains asset database in order to sustain its technological viability. Manages storage and disposal management needs. Logs action taken in response to detected problems (e.g., research, analysis, troubleshooting, contacts, final resolution). Supervises Journeyman-level Managers and support personnel. Leads, directs, develops and encourages team members to accomplish annual and periodic, individual/team goals and initiatives Assists with Internet-Protocol-based VTCs related to senior leader requirements. Researches and documents hardware/software purchases. Coordinates work efforts with several offices and supported commands/clients. Monitors IT hardware/software that has reached obsolescence to prevent data leakage. Maintains chain-of-custody processes for IT assets. Communicates and coordinates with IT-Asset-Management-related stakeholders. Promotes, assists, or leads process improvement efforts
Skill Required:
Ability to apply problem solving methodologies and principles
Task leader experience
Understanding of IT practices and principles associated with asset management
Education/Certifications - requirements based on position level
AS degree in STEM/IT-related field
+ 10 years of experience
OR
BS degree + 7 years of related experience
OR
MS degree + 4 years of related experience
Certification:
Contractor shall obtain and maintain certifications as required by current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570.01 -M, and other applicable laws and regulations
