Job Details

Epsilon C5I ( ), focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Systems (DevSecOps) Engineer II with 2-6 years' experience for work in San Diego, CA . Our engineering efforts provide the warfighter with tools support critical support to operational missions to improve targeting capabilities. Summary: Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities into a mature Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution. Work includes developing and integrating applications that provision loosely coupled systems and capabilities which can be reused, discovered, and linked to build mission threads. DevSecOps and operations responsibilities also apply. The team uses Government Furnished DevSecOps tool suites (Atlassian products, such as JIRA, BitBucket, and Confluence.)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installing and configuring application lifecycle management, continuous integration/continuous delivery, and continuous monitoring tools
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining the DevSecOps continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline for cloud and on-premises deployments
  • Recommending and implementing industry-based practices for continuous monitoring
  • Training and coaching development teams in utilizing the application lifecycle management and continuous integration/continuous delivery tools
  • Establishing and maintaining standards for use of the application lifecycle management and continuous integration/continuous delivery tools
  • Recommending industry-based practices for incorporating testing, security, and operations representation into the Agile Team early and continuously in the application lifecycle

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Industrial Design.
  • Two to Six (2-6) years of professional experience in a systems engineering related role.
  • Candidate must have a GENSER Secret clearance.
  • Must have the necessary 8140 certification requirements to be a privileged user in the lab and cloud environments including but not limited to Security+ and an Environmental Certification.
  • Recent Amazon Web Services experience relevant network experience in the design, integration, analysis, troubleshooting, documenting, programming and operation of computer equipment and networks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio).

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $120,000 to $145000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
