Job Details

Overview:

We are seeking a Reporting Developer to join our team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining advanced reporting and dashboard solutions that support the firm s financial systems and business intelligence needs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power BI, SQL Server, and SSIS, as well as familiarity with Aderant or similar financial platforms. This position will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. This is a full-time role with a salary up to $85k.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report Development & Data Integration
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Aderant and other financial systems using SQL Server and SSIS.
  • Develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize financial and operational metrics.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Management teams to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
  • Optimize queries and data models for performance and scalability.
  • Support migration from legacy reporting tools (SSRS) to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • System Integration & Support
  • Work with database administrators and application teams to integrate reporting solutions with Aderant and related platforms.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for reporting-related issues.
  • Assist in upgrading SharePoint intranet and integrating dashboards into the MS Cloud environment.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to reporting processes and technologies.
  • Document data models, workflows, and reporting standards for governance and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard design).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert or Aderant Sierra; familiarity with Elite/3E or similar financial systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based data architecture.
  • Additional Skills
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and integration.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell), HTML/CSS, and .NET is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Education & Background
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4 years in reporting development or BI roles, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial data reporting and analytics.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and enterprise content management systems.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git/GitHub).
