Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term potential. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background and a passion for leveraging GIS technologies to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain GIS applications and tools to support organizational needs.
Analyze and interpret geographic data to create detailed maps and reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into existing systems.
Perform data collection, validation, and quality assurance for GIS datasets.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software, tools, and systems.
Enhance system functionality by implementing APIs and conducting backend development tasks.
Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.
Utilize bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira to monitor and resolve technical issues.
Participate in AB testing to evaluate and optimize GIS application features.
Provide technical documentation and training for end-users to maximize system utilization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
0-5 years of experience in GIS analysis or software development.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and ASP.NET.
Experience with backend development and API integration.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira.
Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in software projects.
Strong understanding of CSS and Android development.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
