Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

I am working with a SaaS health screening start-up who were established in 2022. After two successful rounds of funding, they are looking to expand their cloud platform team with a Google Cloud Platform expert. They are 50% of the way through the build of their V2 platform and you will play a pivotal role in the creation and ingestion of optimized pipelines, create seamless data storage and scalable systems to help the platform keep up with the masses of data ingested.

100% Remote (CST working Hours)

Salary - $150K - $175K + shares, + benefits

Job requirements:

• Google Cloud Platform Certification: Must hold a valid Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.


• Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2+ years working specifically on Google Cloud Platform.


• Cloud Architecture: Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Composer.


• Data Pipeline Development: Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines in a cloud environment.


• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java or Scala; experience with Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or similar frameworks.


• Data Modeling: Expertise in dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema design, and best practices for big data storage and retrieval.


• DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Cloud Deployment Manager) and CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
