Salary range: $125,766.00 to $157,208.00

Job Summary

The EMS/SCADA Business Systems Analyst, specializing in OSI PI database infrastructure, is a key member of a 24/7 mission critical operations team and is responsible for the management, design, specification, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of the generation management for a 6,000+ MW renewable generation portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, configure, and maintain OSI PI systems such as ACE, AF, Processbooks, Datalink, PI-SMT, OPC interfaces and MCN supporting a highly reliable generation dispatch, communications, and control center.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, MV90 and SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Comply with NERC / CIP standards.
  • Design, develop, implement, configure, and maintain systems relating to NYISO, MISO, ERCOT, WECC, CAISO, PJM, BPA, or other system authorities.
  • Design, specify, deploy, install, configure, OSI PI system related software in concert with new and existing development projects.
  • Configure, test, and monitor OSI PI interface protocols such as Modbus, DNP, OPC, ICCP, TCP/IP and XML.
  • Design and troubleshoot using Microsoft Scripting languages (i.e. VBScript, VBA, DOT NET, C Sharp, etc).
  • Design, test, document, update, and configure system hardware, communications, SCADA, and operating system software to optimize generation systems control and monitor application specific OSI PI processes and project operating requirements.
  • Perform technical support optimizing system and network performance developing innovative automated methods for system updates and security tasks. Team with development, construction, trading, asset management, and operations to deliver superior performance optimizing profitability.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call OSI PI support for National Control Center Operations.
  • Create technical requirements, lead technical negotiations and assist in commercial negotiations with service, software, and hardware providers relating to OSI PI Server and Client installations.
  • Develop project plans including capital and operational budgets to deliver optimal asset performance and continued growth.
  • Adhere to effective internal controls.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 Years maintaining/support of an OSI PI system with 500K # 1M data points (the company may consider candidates with less experience at a lower level).
  • Ability to qualify to NERC standards including successful 7 year background investigation and security review
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of management, operations, and technical personnel in and easy to understand yet precise format

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters of Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Experience in SharePoint, SQL Server, MS Office, Outlook, C#, Control System Design, Data Infrastructure
  • Coding experience in C++/SQL
  • Coding experience in the PI SDK and/or AF SDK
  • Candidates with prior experience in the Energy Business, preferably Wind and Renewables.
  • Some understanding of NERC / CIP standards
