The Director, Engineering Strategy Execution & Enablement drives disciplined execution of strategic priorities across the engineering organization. This role supports the Head of Wealth and Investments Engineering, leading engineering change initiatives, advances engineering practice engagement and enablement, and delivers analytics-driven insights that improve performance, reliability, and delivery outcomes. The role is central to digital transformation-modernizing processes, enabling AI-informed decision-making, and embedding automation to scale impact. This role is located in New York City

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Digital Transformation - Define and execute a multi-year data and analytics strategy aligned with enterprise objectives and the engineering operating model. Lead initiatives that modernize data platforms, standardize data pipelines, and enable scalable analytics capabilities across functions. Partner with cross-functional leaders to prioritize transformation roadmaps and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Business Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency - Identify and re-engineer, in partnership with engineering teams, critical business processes using analytics, automation, and AI to reduce cycle time, improve quality, and increase reliability.
  • AI, Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML solutions (predictive, prescriptive, and generative) to produce actionable insights for engineering technical and strategic delivery. Enable and product-manage analytics and insight tools (e.g., dashboards, self-service analytics, Copilot-style assistants) to improve decision velocity and quality.
  • Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement - Partner with the Senior Director to deliver executive reporting and insights for leadership forums. Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders. Serve as the bridge between business leaders, engineering teams, and operations to ensure data and analytics solutions meet strategic needs.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance - Ensure all data and analytics solutions comply with stringent governance, privacy, and security standards, thereby maintaining operational stability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
  • 10 plus; years in strategy execution, engineering operations, change management or related roles within technology organizations
  • Strong knowledge of engineering practices (DevOps, SRE, Architecture) and agile ways of working. Hands-on experience with analytics and familiarity with AI concepts and practical use cases.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional programs and driving delivery.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills; ability to engage senior leaders and technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $220,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
