Role : M&A Infrastructure Architect
Location: Atlanta, GA
Key Responsibilities
- Scenario Planning & Transformation Mapping: Develop plans and estimates for transitioning from current to future states in coordination with the M&A center of excellence.
- Technical Design Deliverables: Produce design documents that enable infrastructure delivery teams to deploy robust, flexible, scalable, supportable, and secure solutions aligned with enterprise strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IOPS M&A Integration Lead to extend infrastructure architecture capacity for the acquisition and divestiture pipeline.
- Standards & Design Patterns: Analyze and promote standards and design patterns that align with established enterprise architectural goals.
- Emerging Technologies: Provide guidance on integrating emerging technologies and industry trends for technology integration and disentanglement of systems.
- Communication: Facilitate group virtual/physical whiteboard sessions to gain alignment on integration direction. Specific Responsibilities Include
- Define and maintain the current, transition, and future state infrastructure architecture integration blueprint and roadmap for active acquisitions and divestitures.
- Learn and promote the current Cox Automotive IT infrastructure portfolio, standards, and procedures in designs and recommendations. Document any recommended variances and guide them through the approval process.
- Partner with key stakeholders in the acquired company and CAI Infrastructure and Operations Platforms to define a roadmap and advance towards a future vision.
- Stay informed about technology trends, differentiate between emerging, hype, and mainstream evolution, and assess their impact on transformations.
- Evaluate the impact of incoming capacity on Operations and Engineering teams. Produce readouts to inform work planning for downstream teams.
- Produce appropriate design artifacts representing desired changes in technical architecture.
- Address system quality attributes relating to infrastructure architecture, such as efficiency or availability, and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to high-level estimates in support of business case development.
- Serve as a technical point of interface for infrastructure platform engineers, reviewing designs where appropriate and driving improved service and relationships between integrating groups.
- Establish yourself as a trusted technical advisor with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Other responsibilities as required to support the company's growth.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in the integration and divestiture of technologies using structured design and
architecture processes in a corporate environment.
- 3+ years experience with M&A activities including technology integration and due diligence.
- Experience in the design of multi-tiered technology architecture.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more layers of the infrastructure stack and comprehensive
understanding of all layers including transport protocols, network, compute, virtualization,
DAS/NAS/SAN storage, monitoring, and security.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts particularly related to IaaS and PaaS approaches.
- Architecture Modeling as well as the ability to effectively deliver presentations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Evidenced by the ability to communicate
across all levels of an organization.
- Experience leading the design and implementation of architecture changes.
- Effective use of communication tools/methods such as PowerPoint and Lucid.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
