JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

*Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker

JOB LOCATION: 200 S. Laurel Ave. Bldg. A., Middletown, NJ 07748 [Hybrid position]

DUTIES: Design, develop, and deploy production application support and troubleshoot with a focus on automation. Create and maintain applications that meet the needs of company network alarm event processing. Collaborate with engineers and architects to review software requirements and user stories and provide estimates. Create software design specifications and assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute development methodologies through the application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes, and produce associated reporting. Work with unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Utilize RESTful API, Java, Drools, Karaf, and Kafka.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in, Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation collaborating with engineers and architects to review software requirements and user stories and providing estimates; creating software design specifications and assessing and testing hardware and software interactions; creating and executing automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements; designing and implementing code fixes, validating outcomes, and producing associated reporting; working with unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing; and utilizing RESTful API, Java, Drools, Karaf, and Kafka.
