Position: Application Developer - Java & Web Technologies

Location: Chicago, IL - Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Stack Development: Design and implement robust, high-volume back-end services using Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.

  • Event-Driven Architecture: Build and optimize real-time data pipelines and messaging systems using Apache Kafka.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage applications within AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

  • Web Integration: Develop and integrate modern web technologies to ensure a seamless flow between front-end interfaces and back-end APIs.

  • Collaborative Innovation: Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions to drive continuous improvement.

Required Technical Skills

  • Java Mastery: Deep understanding of Java (8+) and object-oriented design patterns.

  • Spring Framework: Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful API development.

  • Streaming & Messaging: Proven experience implementing producer/consumer patterns with Kafka.

  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, or RDS).

  • Web Fundamentals: Proficiency in modern web standards (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
