This role will accommodate progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or B-Course project; Limited travel/overtime required; One hour a week per credit hour (maximum 6 hrs per week) can be vouchered
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, The base pay range for this position is $79,400.00 - 119,000.00 USD per year.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

Essential Functions:
- Develop industrial robot applications
- Develop robot simulation models and off-line programs supporting automation, coatings, and new technology development
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of robotics, programming platforms, and associated process equipment
- Provide technical support to robot operators, engineers, and technical workers through system troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Train operators and engineers in robot programming, maintenance and process applications
- Be responsible for maintenance activities of all the robots in the global network
- Be responsible for maintaining and updating Robotics Database and Robot Management System
- Maintain schedules for the team's deliverables
Communicate progress to all levels of the organization
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 2 additional years of experience in an engineering position
- Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Desired Characteristics:
- Edison Engineer; Completion of LPX, Teardown Training; Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate
- Hands on experience in robot operations, sensors, servo systems and motion control systems
- Programming experience in one or more industrial robot brands- FANUC, ABB, KUKA, MOTOMAN, etc...
- Experience in off-line robot programming and simulation packages- RobCad, RoboGuide, RobotStudio, I-Grip, etc...
- Process knowledge in one or more disciplines - Thermal spray coating, welding, surface finishing, sealing, machining, etc...
- CAD knowledge- UG is preferred
- Working knowledge of I/O, PLC and bus communication
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
- Able and willing to travel up to 10% globally
- Good project management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Ability to train and share knowledge with others
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Familiarity with shop operations and quality systems
- Product knowledge of gas turbines / turbo machinery is a plus
