Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Facilitates the planning, forecasting, implementation and identification of resource requirements for network systems
* Performs network planning, network architecture design and engineering activities
* Supervises the administration and maintenance of global network infrastructure, providing technical guidance
* Manages network problem resolution and serves as point of escalation for network issues
* Architect and test hybrid disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) strategies, including cross-platform failover between on-prem and cloud networks
* Plan redundancy for both physical and virtual network layers to ensure high availability and business resilience
* Diagnose and determine corrective actions to be taken on complex technical issues
* Manage and implement monitoring, alerting to proactively identify and address performance degradation, including tools like SolarWinds

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
* Preferred certifications (one or more): CCNP, CCNA, Fortinet NSE4+, Azure Networking Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, CCIE, CompTIA Network +
* 8+ years of experience required; 10+ years preferred
* 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing and managing Azure network services or equivalent public cloud experience
* 1-2 years of experience working with suppliers conducting vendor evaluations, product proofs of concepts, pilots, and enterprise implementations preferred
* Expertise in designing and maintaining hybrid network architectures that securely and efficiently connect on-prem data centers with public cloud providers (e.g. Azure) and services
* Understanding of Azure networking components including VNets, Azure FW, NSGs, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Application Gateways, and hub-and-spoke architecture
* Knowledge of SD WAN, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, and CISCO hardware environment
* Expert-level configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of firewalls across on-prem and cloud platforms including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco
* Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), L2/L3 architecture, policy-based routing, and Quality of Service (QoS) in complex, multi-site environments
* Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible to automate network tasks and deployments
* Skilled in WAN/LAN/MAN connectivity technologies: MPLS, ELAN, DIA, and LTE for site connectivity and failover
* Experienced with network segmentation, Zero Trust Network Architecture, VPN/IPSec, NAT, 802.1X, and secure remote access solutions
* Knowledge of wireless design, configuration, and troubleshooting using Aruba solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
