Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement control systems for machinery and automated systems using PLCs, HMIs, and VFD.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
- Program, test, and debug control systems using platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Commission control systems and support the installation and startup of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, or system performance.
- Ensure systems comply with safety standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
- Create and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Experience and working knowledge of UL508A Standards preferred
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred
- Working knowledge of controls and automation, preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in the engineering and development of integrated controls system solutions for batch or process-based manufacturing systems.
- Experience in Allen Bradley controls including Factory talk view Studio, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and Connected Components Workbench
- Experience integrating Robots into control systems preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated project management skills.
