Job Title: Azure Terraform Developer (Infrastructure as Code)
Location: India or Canada (Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Job Summary:
We are looking for a strong Azure Terraform Developer with proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support the automation and deployment of cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for writing scalable, reusable Terraform scripts to provision and manage Azure services efficiently. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Azure resource deployments and DevOps workflows using Terraform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and maintain Terraform modules for deploying Azure infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to gather IaC requirements and translate them into Terraform scripts.
- Automate Azure resource provisioning including networking, compute, storage, and PaaS services.
- Implement and manage Terraform state and workspaces for scalable environments.
- Apply version control, testing, and CI/CD integration best practices for Terraform scripts.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployment pipelines and IaC-related issues.
- Create documentation for Terraform modules, environment setup, and deployment processes.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (preferably with Azure).
- Solid experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Azure services (VNET, NSG, App Services, Key Vault, AKS, etc.).
- Proficient in Terraform 1.x versions with a deep understanding of HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language).
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Knowledge of Terraform state management, modules, variables, and outputs.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Terraform Cloud or Terraform Enterprise is a plus.
- Azure or HashiCorp certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, Terraform Associate) are desirable.
- Familiarity with compliance, tagging, and cost management in Azure.
