CONTRACT Position

Location:  Phoenix/Mesa, AZ (Hybrid role- at least 2 days a week in office)

Duration: 6 months w good expectation to be extended

Job Brief: We are looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to develop, design and maintain networks in Azure and AWS. You will work with a team of engineers be responsible for our Cloud network deliverables. Your expertise will enable new corporate capabilities and optimize network infrastructures across a global enterprise as well as in the cloud. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of Cloud network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to establish and maintain networks that cater to our global infrastructure needs.

Need someone at the infrastructure level that can assist in troubleshooting as well as setup environments for applications and web services to function.  Looking for someone to assist with creating/implementing/troubleshooting cloud networks/infrastructure where all the communication takes place. *MUST be able to do the cloud implementations by themselves** MUST be strong in Cloud Infrastructure; building & connecting environments; building out the base so that the application team can do their part.

Requirements:

• Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
• Extensive experience in cloud network engineering (Azure, AWS preferred)
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• Experience creating/implementing/troubleshooting cloud networks/infrastructure
• Experience setup cloud environments for applications and web services to function
• Experience building and baselining infrastructure specific objects in cloud environments to build consistent cloud tenants using best practice techniques for multiple cloud providers (Azure and AWS specifically)
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
• Familiarity with access control models and network security
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)
• Basic understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
• Expert understanding of IPSEC and other types of VPN
• Understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities.
• Potential travel to support field office projects

• SME for Cloud network services
• Designing and implementation of cloud network solutions.
• Support and troubleshooting of cloud network solutions
• Requirements definition for new services
• Map, Inventory, Document and Validate existing and new networks
• Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated
• Mentoring team members and addressing user needs
• Monitor network performance and integrity
• Experience with Palo Alto
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• All other duties as assigned
