Job Details
We are seeking a Takeoffs Project Engineer with strong skills in earthwork estimation to support large-scale, complex projects. This role involves producing accurate material takeoffs, collaborating with project teams, and contributing to competitive, high-quality bids.
Key Responsibilities
Perform precise material takeoffs for excavation, grading, paving, demolition, and site preparation.
Prepare accurate quantity estimates for project budgeting and bid submissions.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Organize and present takeoff documentation for internal and external review.
Support bid package preparation, subcontractor scope coordination, and pricing reviews.
Assist in preconstruction planning and change order assessments.
Maintain and manage estimating data and historical cost records.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 2+ years in construction estimation, takeoffs, or project engineering - experience in earthwork, grading, or excavation preferred.
Software: Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel; experience with Procore or other project management tools is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-driven with a collaborative mindset.
