Job Title: Microsoft Modern Workplace Technical Specialist
Location: Bethesda, MD (Prefer Hybrid, open to Remote)
Duration: 6 Months Contract with possibility for extension
About the Role:
We are seeking a Microsoft Modern Workplace Technical Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Microsoft 365 and other related Microsoft technologies within our organization and clients. You will play a critical role in optimizing collaboration, productivity, and security tools that support a modern and digital workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation: Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to design and implement solutions using Microsoft 365 tools and services (Viva, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Power Platform, etc.) that align with business needs and requirements.
Deployment & Configuration: Lead the deployment, configuration, and administration of Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions, ensuring optimal use of resources and user adoption.
Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues related to Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies, including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
Security & Compliance: Collaborate with IT Security to implement and monitor security measures, data protection policies, and compliance standards across Microsoft 365 services to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
User Training & Enablement: Deliver training to end-users and IT staff on the best practices, features, and functions of Microsoft 365 tools, enhancing overall productivity and collaboration.
Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and best practices in the Microsoft Modern Workplace ecosystem, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support, infrastructure, security, and business units, to integrate and optimize modern workplace solutions.
Project Management: Lead or contribute to modern workplace-related projects, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience with Microsoft 365 tools and services, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
Strong understanding of Microsoft security and compliance features, such as Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Defender.
Experience in deployment, migration, and configuration of Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions.
Expertise in user and group management, collaboration tools, and cloud-based technologies.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Intune, and other Microsoft enterprise management tools.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and engage users.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience in a technical consulting or specialist role.
Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps and CI/CD.
