Job Title : DevOps Engineer
Location: 4 days onsite in Edison, NJ (flexible on days)
- DevOps Engineers
- 1 focused on deployments
- 1 focused on building pipelines
- Modernizing DevOps environment
- Background: originally a mainframe shop (DB2, COBOL, REST calls)
- Expanded into Java and supporting additional languages
- Goal: centralize technology stack
Tools & Technologies
- Deployment: UrbanCode (may migrate to GitLab)
- Repositories: IBM RTC (Rational Team Concert) migrating off this to GitLab
- Pipeline/Infra: GitLab, Terraform, Ansible
- Linux: SUSE, Red Hat
- Cloud: Mostly on-prem; some Azure (more usage) and early-stage Google Cloud
- Other Tools: Artifactory, Bit Query, Red Hat OpenShift (moving toward this)
Candidate Preferences
- Strong DevOps and Infrastructure background
- Linux administration (SUSE/Red Hat)
- Experience with Azure (Google Cloud is a plus)
- Ansible, Terraform, pipelines, GitLab
- Exposure to OpenShift is valuable
