Project Manager - Biomed PMO / Clinical Engineering
Location: Remote (Preferred in Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Renton, WA; or within these states: AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, TX, NM)
Duration: 12-month contract


About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Biomedical/Clinical Engineering PMO for a leading nonprofit healthcare organization. This role will lead and coordinate biomedical equipment and clinical engineering projects across hospitals and healthcare facilities, ensuring alignment with patient safety, operational goals, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in healthcare technology, biomedical systems, or clinical environments, combined with proven project management capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan, coordinate, and manage biomedical/clinical engineering projects across hospitals, clinics, and health systems

  • Develop detailed project charters, work breakdown structures, timelines, and risk mitigation plans

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and manage stakeholders through the full project lifecycle

  • Coordinate training, deployment, and implementation activities for clinical engineering solutions

  • Maintain all required project documentation, workflows, and communications in alignment with PMO standards

  • Conduct root cause analyses and propose process improvements

  • Prepare and present updates to senior leadership and operational teams

  • Ensure that projects are executed in alignment with healthcare policies, regulatory standards, and patient care objectives


Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of project management experience within a healthcare, clinical engineering, or biomedical technology setting

  • Strong understanding of biomedical equipment systems, clinical workflows, or healthcare delivery environments

  • Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Experience developing project plans, facilitating cross-team collaboration, and delivering successful outcomes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to leadership

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, or a related field

  • PMP certification or equivalent training (preferred but not required)


Work Environment:



  • Fully remote preferred, with location in Seattle, Portland, or Renton ideal

  • Candidates must be based in one of the following states: WA, OR, AK, MT, CA, TX, or NM
