Job Title: Senior Gen AI Architect
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Gen AI Architect to lead enterprise-scale AI and Intelligent Automation initiatives for mid-sized clients. Acting as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, this role will focus on assessing current capabilities, designing future-state architectures, and driving strategic transformation using Generative AI, Machine Learning, RPA, and advanced automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Engagement & Assessment
- Lead executive workshops to identify automation goals and AI opportunities.
- Conduct AI maturity assessments using TOGAF/SAFe and industry benchmarks.
- Prioritize use cases based on ROI and strategic value (e.g., GenAI copilots, intelligent workflows).
Architecture & Roadmap Development
- Design enterprise architectures across data, application, integration, security, and governance.
- Develop reference models for LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, agent-based automation.
- Create 12 24 month transformation roadmaps with KPIs, staffing, and change management.
Governance & Delivery Oversight
- Establish AI/Automation Centers of Excellence and governance frameworks (privacy, ethics, compliance).
- Drive build-vs-buy platform decisions and ecosystem selection.
- Deliver quick-win PoVs within 90 days to validate architecture and technology decisions.
Thought Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor internal/client teams and contribute to reusable accelerators and methodologies.
- Author POVs and best practices related to Responsible AI, MLOps, and enterprise automation.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master s/MBA preferred).
- Experience:
- 15+ years in enterprise/solution architecture.
- 8+ years in AI, ML, or digital transformation programs within a consulting environment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on architecture in GenAI, LLM/RAG, MLOps, RPA, event streaming, APIs.
- Proficiency with AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock), Azure (OpenAI, ML), Google (Vertex AI, Duet).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, security, and data governance.
- Frameworks & Methodologies: TOGAF 9/10, SAFe, ITIL 4, COBIT, Agile/Lean.
- Soft Skills: Strong executive presence, cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management.
- Certifications (Preferred): TOGAF, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Architect Professional, PMP, RPA Architect (UiPath/Automation Anywhere).
