Job Title: CAD Design Support Engineer

Location: Sylacauga, AL

Pay Rate: Negotiable up to $45/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized CAD Design Support Engineer to assist our design engineering team in the creation and maintenance of product drawings and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a disciplined work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support design engineers in developing and maintaining product drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software
  • Create or revise drawings based on actual manufactured designs and work-in-process sub-assemblies
  • Generate and update support documentation using word processing tools
  • Apply established procedures and techniques to produce and maintain technical data packages
  • Ensure all documentation meets accuracy and quality standards through careful review and revision
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Follow detailed instructions and procedures precisely, making minor decisions within established guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment

  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
