Job Title: Vice President, Senior Software Engineer, Applications

Job Duties: Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java and UI technologies. Solve complex business problems by implementing efficient and scalable software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Ensure the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical strategy of the engineering team.

Qualifications: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered, or a related occupation working with both front-end and back-end technologies. Four (4) years of experience in each of the following skill sets: Programming using Java technologies, including Java Swing, Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, AOP, Streams and Threads. UI technologies and frameworks including Angular or React, NgRx and Nx. Messaging and caching technologies including Apache Cassandra and Apache Kafka. Distributed systems and technologies such as Apache Zookeeper, Google Protobuf, GRPC and Apache Ignite. Databases including Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ , Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake. Front-end development skills with Typescript Angular, HTML5/CSS3, and Single SPA Angular. Git, Apache Maven, dependency management and Microsoft Azure ADO pipeline. Agile development processes and practices.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$169,400.00 - USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
