Network Engineer

Summary:
The Solutions (Network) Engineer will be customer-facing post sales network engineer position for the Engineering Services department. Will help guide customer through their integration journey, will be the primary technical resource enusring equipment/engineering services, and provide approved customized solutions.

3 Month Contract to Hire, 4 days on-site (Tampa), 1 remote.

Experience Needed:

• Ability to relate and communicate with people using good verbal and written communication skills, proper use of the English language.


• Minimum of 4 years' experience with advanced IT Routing and Switching


• Minimum of 4 years' experience and knowledge of TCP/IP


• Must have advanced experience with working with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or other industry firewall / routing devices


• Must have advanced experience with IP Routing and Switching Configurations from administrative level.


• Experience with SD-WAN (preferred with Fortinet)


• Must have advanced experience with BGP, VPN, GRE, DMVPN, and IPV6


• Must possess Security+, CCNA, or other equivalent industry certification and pursuing CCNP, CISSP or other equivalent industry certifications.


• Required to pass practical test during interview process.


• Military experience a plus. Telecommunications experience a plus. Project coordination or management a plus

Responsibilities:

• Support the Production Engineering Department in all areas of operations to include production support, release management, vulnerability management and other tasks as assigned to ensure delivery and operations for internal and external customers


• Participate in all phases of Production Engineering for Network and Security service offerings- Design, document, configure, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security


• Configuration and management of security applications, tools, software, and controls in tools


• Provide network and security consulting on medium projects to ensure conformity to information, security policy, and standards


• Participate in security audits and support in the evidence gathering for different certifications, frameworks, and customers


• Identify security vulnerabilities, issues, perform risk assessments, evaluate remediation alternatives


• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
