Title- Business Analyst
Location- Austin, TX
Contract- 12 Month
Work Mode: Position will be 2 days (Wednesdays and Fridays) remote with 3 days (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) required to be onsite
Level Description
8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Min 5 years of experience, served as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.). Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data, and as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering, understanding technology, and any project management experience with PMP are a huge plus.
Job Description
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk.
Required:
- Progressive experience in a Business Architect role or similar strategic capacity, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level initiatives.
- Proven track record of successfully leading or significantly contributing to multiple large-scale digital transformation and business process reengineering projects. Demonstrated ability to drive measurable improvements in operational efficiency and ser
- Demonstrable expertise with MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture), including practical application in complex system environments. Experience with MITA State Self-Assessments (SS-A) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional business modeling skills, with expert proficiency in methodologies and tools such as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), Unified Modeling Language (UML), ArchiMate, and strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks like TO
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with a strong capacity to dissect complex issues and formulate pragmatic solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups on complex business problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvements including exhibiting strong oral and written communications
- Strong preference for direct, hands-on experience with integrated eligibility systems (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, CHIP). This includes a deep understanding of federal regulations, state-specific policy nuances, and the mod
- Experience working within a government or public sector environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), TOGAF, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
