Controls Engineer (Basic-Medium)

Professional Summary:

Engineer with solid experience in building automation systems, specialized in the programming, configuration, and commissioning of Distech Controls systems. Skilled in designing, implementing, and optimizing BMS (Building Management System) solutions integrating HVAC, lighting, access control, and energy efficiency components, ensuring compliance with technical standards and quality protocols.

Analytical and results-oriented, with strong logical thinking and the ability to work in collaborative environments, particularly in construction or retrofit projects. Proficient in communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LON, and experienced in using software tools such as EC-Net 4, Builder, and Visual BACnet.

Technical Competencies

  • Configuration and programming of Distech controllers (ECL, ECB Series).
  • Advanced use of EC-NetAX and EC-Net 4 platforms.
  • Integration of HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics in BMS systems.
  • Interpretation of electrical schematics and control diagrams.
  • Communication protocols: BACnet/IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus TCP/IP, LON.
  • Field supervision, installation support, and system commissioning.
  • Technical documentation, testing reports, and As-Built drawings
  • Experience in Distech, Siemens & Schneider Electric brands

Education

  • Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Distech Controls Certifications (preferred: Certified EC-Net Programmer).
  • Additional training in building automation or energy management.

Experience (optional if applicable):

  • Participated in HVAC system installation projects and related controls
  • Assisted in designing electrical plans for climate control systems
  • Supported basic maintenance of automation systems

Availability:

Available immediately, with strong willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

  • Effective communication with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Organized, responsible, and detail-oriented.
  • Technical English (intermediate/advanced level).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement control systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal energy management and efficiency.
  • Develop and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related software using Python and C++.
  • Create and analyze schematics and system designs, collaborating with electrical engineering teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to report progress and address issues.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and MATLAB for system modeling and simulation tasks.
