Title: Substation Physical Project Engineer

Locations: Knoxville, TN 37932, USA

Duration: Full-Time



Description:

  • Candidate must possess a working knowledge in most of the following: development of electrical general arrangement and/or station layout drawings, Yard Equipment Details & Elevations, Grounding Plans & Details, Conduit/Cable/Raceway Plans & Details, Bills of Material, Station Service and Battery Systems, Lighting Plans & Details, Electrical Bus Span calculations, Phase-Phase and Phase-Ground Electrical Clearances, Lightning/Static Protection/Grounding Studies, etc.
  • Ideal candidates will have extensive experience utilizing AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software and must also be able to use Microsoft Design Suite products (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • CDEGS and/or WinIGS experience is a plus. Generation/Power Plant Physical design experience may be substituted for the requisite substation design experience.
  • Possession of proven leadership skills involving supervision of a design team or teams is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate must also demonstrate excellent communication skills with other coworkers and be able to thrive in a team-oriented work environment.
  • P.E. and the ability to obtain licensure in AR, LA, TX, and MS are required.

Education:

  • Bachelor or better in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Prof Engineering (PE)
