Role Summary

The Business Analyst evaluates user requests for new or modified products, analyzes business systems and user needs, and helps design solutions that align with overall business strategy. This role works closely with Agile delivery teams and stakeholders to define requirements, write user stories, support UAT, and ensure traceability throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate user requests for new or modified products and system changes.
• Analyze and document business processes, systems, and user needs.
• Lead requirements-gathering activities including workshops, interviews, and document analysis.
• Translate business and system requirements into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Write UAT test scripts, support UAT execution, and manage defect resolution.
• Identify, document, and help mitigate project risks.
• Track and manage requirements throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
• Collaborate effectively with Agile delivery teams, technical staff, business stakeholders, and vendors.
• Ensure alignment of solutions with business strategies and objectives.
  
  Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst on medium to large projects.
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile environments, including story writing and backlog refinement.
• Strong experience with:
• Requirements elicitation and documentation
• User stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases
• UAT planning, scripting, and execution
• SDLC and requirements traceability

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office 365 Suite
• Azure DevOps (ADO)
• JIRA
• Confluence
• Visio and/or Draw.io
• BI / Reporting tools
