TCDRS continues to deliver enhancements to our technology and services that set the stage for our digital transformation. Our strategic technology initiatives include best practice automation, optimized architecture, data analytics, and value-added digital service delivery and communications.

We are looking for an Enterprise DevOps Engineer to help us design and develop a comprehensive technical release management process, oversee technical aspects of change management, and improve the current software lifecycle management process. You will work as part of a seven-member data management team and collaborate with application architects, business resources, management, and technical consultants.

 

What you'll do

  • Manage comprehensive technical releases throughout software environments: Development, Testing and Production.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for enterprise release management of SQL Server database objects, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) objects, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) objects, Power Business Intelligence (BI) objects, and .NET objects
  • Conduct installation, configuration, and upgrade of Azure DevOps software.
  • Coordinate enterprise release plans between executive and technical staff.
  • Oversee technical aspects of change management process.
  • Improve current software lifecycle management process.
  • Create and evaluate existing automated release pipelines and improve to meet industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance team to evaluate and incorporate automated testing strategies into the DevOps process.
  • Synchronize lower environments after production releases.
  • Audit environments for consistency.
  • Evaluate code changes and enforce coding standards to ensure code is correctly scripted for stability, repeatability and clarity.
  • Participate in risk assessment related to audits, upgrades and vulnerabilities as needed.

 

What you should have

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent certifications and experience in computer information systems, computer science, management information systems or related field.
  • Preferred five years of experience in DevOps technical practices using Azure DevOps. Experience should include release management, administration, installation and configuration of Azure DevOps software.
  • Experience executing enterprise DevOps processes with knowledge of best practices to mitigate risk and maximize system uptime.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server development, Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, and PowerShell.
  • General understanding of Cloud technologies related to DevOps.
  • Experience with Agile project methodology.
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, prioritize, and execute tasks.
  • Ability to deliver high quality and value products while keeping abreast of new technologies and trends.
