Job Details

Seeking a Lead Data Scientist to lead high-priority projects that impact our organization. Apply advanced analytics techniques, predictive modeling, and data mining to solve complex business problems.

-Responsible for developing custom data models & algorithms, performing in-depth analysis on large datasets, and translating complex findings for a wide range of stakeholders.

Duration: Full-time position
Work location: Southwest Houston

This is a leadership position that requires strong project management skills and the ability to mentor other data scientists. You must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and have a deep understanding of the entire data science project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:
Lead high-priority projects from start to finish.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to large datasets.
Perform in-depth research, analysis & modeling on organizational data.
Present data-driven insights & findings to A-C level executives.
Provide technical supervision & mentorship to other data scientists.
Identify, understand & resolve complex data issues to improve efficiency.
Translate complex information for a wide range of technical & non-technical stakeholders.

Must-have:
Exp. as a project leader or in a similar leadership role.
Proven experience building datasets.
Experience presenting to A-C level executives.
Cogito experience is required.
AWS Certification is a must.

Minimum qualifications:
Experience:
o At least 7 yrs of experience in data science.
o Professional experience in a hospital setting, medical informatics, or healthcare information technology is a plus.
Skills:
o Proficiency in a variety of machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision tree learning).
o Advanced understanding of statistical techniques (e.g., regression, statistical tests).
o Advanced knowledge of the data science project lifecycle.
o Proficiency in programming and statistical analysis tools.
o Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
o Advanced understanding of SQL database management tools.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Education: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or statistics). A Master's Degree in Data Science is preferred.
