Cobol Programmer
Responsibilities
  • Architect, analyze, develop, enhance, and maintain banking company s core software applications and information systems using COBOL, IBM Assembler Language, Java, JCL, and REXX.
  • Review system capabilities and department needs.
  • Design, document, and code program logic using IDz, SlickEdit, TSO/ISPF, and IBM ADFz Mainframe toolset.
  • Maintain database and data communication system using Spufi, TOAD and SQL Developer.
  • Prepare program test data, analyze test results, and specify data control procedures using DEBUG, Fault Analyzer, Application Performance Analyzer (APA), ADDI and MS Office toolset.
  • Provide input on strategic IT direction. Create specifications for out-sourced development and project management using ServiceNow.
  • Ensure compliance, integration, back-up and recovery procedures are included. Train junior team members.
Qualifications
