Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT Manager/Systems Engineer to join our team in Stockton, California. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide hands-on leadership and technical expertise while supporting a small IT team. The role requires a proactive individual who can balance day-to-day tasks with strategic planning to ensure smooth operations and high team morale.
Responsibilities:
Lead and provide technical support to the IT team, ensuring effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Collaborate with the senior systems engineer to manage and respond to incidents efficiently.
Oversee help desk operations, including prioritization and escalation of support tickets.
Perform essential IT tasks such as patching, asset tracking, and documentation updates.
Communicate regular status updates and reports to department leaders, fostering transparency.
Identify and address upcoming project requirements in alignment with business goals.
Support the team with hands-on involvement in IT tasks and projects.
Maintain a positive and proactive approach to boost team morale and productivity.
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of IT systems such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT role.
Proficiency in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange.
Experience with Citrix technologies and D365.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Enterprise.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with team members and department leaders.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
