Job Details

Maintain tracker of content licensing agreements, which includes updating contractual terms in the Mediamorph system
Use the Mediamorph content costing and payment system to schedule and execute licensed payments to Content Partners
Prepare quarterly statements related to the content partner remittance process for timely issuance of payments
Advise and respond to Content Partner inquiries related to the timing of payment issuance, reconciling items of actual to invoice amounts and status updates to both licensees and DTC content partnerships team
Assist with the preparation of month-end close journal entries and support work paper reconciliations
Understand and utilize appropriate methodologies as it relates to content cost capitalization, amortization and impairment of a diverse portfolio of licensed content
Help with requests related to financial content performance metrics and data for use in key content investment decisions and to support accounting amortization analytics teams
Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing and/or reviewing Ensure the maintenance of process documentation, including the design and implementation of key Sarbanes-Oxley controls
surrounding the capitalization, amortization, and impairment processes of licensed content
Work collaboratively with the Content FP&A/CP&A, Content Acquisition, Content Partner Management, and Legal teams
Support ad-hoc projects when necessary
Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, and/or similar discipline with analytical bias
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications
Proper accounting experience of the media and entertainment industry, with knowledge specific to ASC 920 and ASC 926
Experience with cloud-based or ERP financial software such as SAP, MediaMorph, Adaptive Insights, and/or other business
tools (e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)

Additional Information:
Hybrid role; Must be onsite on Tuesday of every week, subject to change.
Must be analytical as will be reviewing contracts and pulling out the relevant accounting elements and inputting into a proprietary system.
A strong understanding of the accounting implications is needed.
SAP experience needed.
