Worldwide Technology is looking for a Fortinet SDWAN Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Title: Fortinet SDWAN Engineer
Location: 5 days a week on site in Plano, TX; Jersey City, NJ; or Columbus, OH
Duration/Type of Job: 6+ Month Contract
Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70 to $90 hourly (Rate range is on C2C basis). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Responsibilities: Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Network Engineer with experience in the Fortinet suite and expertise in SD-WAN technologies. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable SDWAN network solutions using Fortinet technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP) to design and deploy Fortinet SDWAN architectures in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Deploy and configure Fortinet devices and solutions
- Utilize Fortinet s tools to monitor network performance and resolve issues
- Integrate Fortinet SDWAN with existing network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security policies and ensure compliance with defined standards
- Ensure network designs adhere to industry best practices and security standards
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments - perform software upgrades and deploy updates/patches to resolve vulnerabilities
- Utilize FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized management and analytics
- Plan and execute network migrations from traditional networks to SD-WAN environments
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated SDWAN incidents, network issues, and problems
- Work closely with other cross-functional teams to implement changes as required
- Create, update, maintain documentation and update existing tools & inventory systems
- Mentor peers on best practices for Fortinet technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification or work experience(s) on network infrastructure and IT systems
- Strong hands-on experience with the Fortinet suite (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAP, FortiSwitch, etc.)
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet SD-WAN solutions
- Understanding of Firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems using Fortinet solutions
- Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs).
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years in network engineering roles with Fortinet focus
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise networks
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fortinet NSE 3 (or higher) Certification
- Bachelor Degree
- Automation and programming languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and SASE frameworks
- Experience in large enterprise environment(s)
- Experience in the financial sector
